Dear user,
sometimes you want to restrict visibility within a workspace for certain users. On the one hand you want to restrict access to certain cards, on the other hand you may want to exclude visibility of participants, i.e. certain people should not see certain other people or should not be see by certain other people.
Worklean offers both alternatives. This week we want to have a look at the visibility of cards. Next week we will look at the restricted visibility of participants.
You can restrict the access to cards by withdrawing the right to read of a participant. You have to go to “Participants” and click on the icon showing a key and then adjust the rights of that participant.
You have also the option to limit the access to cards for certain areas of the workspace. To that end you have to go to the relevant card and click on the icon with the heads. A window will open showing inter alia a grey bar “Permissions”. Click on the grey bar and a table will open showing all the participants and their rights. You can modify their permissions for the card by activating “Set Card Permissions” (on the upper right side of the table). The modification applies for the card and the cards underneath the card and trumps the permissions applying for the workspace as a so called “lex specialis”. In the area underneath the card with special permissions you can modify the permissions again and thus create special permissions within that area by following the procedure which we have just explained another time (and so forth).
Check it out. If you have questions let me know and I am happy to assist.
Have nice weekend.
